Marc Wilson began his career in Radio Broadcasting where he worked in many formats including News/Talk, Top 40, Hot Country and Sports Talk. From 1996-1999 he was a free-lance sports anchor for the Bengals Radio Network Flagship, WBOB AM 1160 in Cincinnati. After his radio career Wilson launched an advertising and public relations firm. During this time Wilson began consulting Republican campaigns in Kentucky as a Media Consultant and eventually a General Consultant. His campaign record stands at 34 wins and 2 losses.
From 1993-2000 Wilson consulted many of the Republican Majority in the Kentucky State Senate including former Senate President Pro-Tem Dick Roeding, Education Committee Vice Chair Jack Westwood and in 2003 was an advisor to the campaign for State and Local Government Committee Chairman Senator Damon Thayer.
In 2002 Wilson was the General Consultant for Kentucky Congressman Geoff Davis in his first run for office. He served as an unpaid Senior Advisor to Davis in his victorious 2004 campaign.
He is a 1990 Graduate of Asbury College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications. In college Wilson served four years in Student Government and was chosen by the president and his peers to take part in rewriting the student body constitution, still in effect today at Asbury.
Wilson sits on the boards of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Kids Voting Northern Kentucky, The Conservative Forum and The Commonwealth PAC. He was also a founding member of the Young Political Leaders of Kentucky. Wilson is often quoted in regional and national periodicals commenting on Kentucky Republican Politics as well as conducting interviews with local and state radio and television news outlets.
As a lobbyist, Wilson has tackled some of the toughest issues for his clients including expanded gambling, smoking bans and taxes. As a grass roots lobbyist for the country's third largest tobacco company, he worked the same legislation in five state capitols around the country including Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Florida, and Nevada.
He is married to his high school sweetheart Tami Worley Wilson and they have three daughters.
